Power BI Embed on Teams

Good morning,

my organizazion is going to share Power BI contents using the new Team's embedding option. We are testing this solution and everything is going ok.

We have read the documentation and Microsoft says that, to embed a content, it is required Power BI Premium.

Is this true? If so, why are we able to embed? Are we using the free tokens of our users?

There is Power BI Embedded, there is embedding Power BI in an iframe, and then there is embedding Power BI in Teams*. They are different things with different license rules.

* oh - and Power Apps too now!

You need an EM or P SKU

• User need a Power BI Pro license or
• the content must be contained in a P/EM capacity and the user must have a Power BI license.
