Postgre "We do not support CLR type 'Microsoft.Mashup.Engine1.Runtime.ValueException'" Error #powerB

Hi, community,

need help how to solve error issue during connection to postgre db from dataflow (or desktop - not matter).

Connection is ok but when I try to transform data, I see errors in fields where text or whole numbers should be (see picture 1).

When I try to see details, there is a message from pbi:

" 'We do not support CLR type 'Microsoft.Mashup.Engine1.Runtime.ValueException'"

(see pic2)postgre2.png

Any ideas how to couple with this error?

I have found a similar topic but there is no decision of this trouble.

Thanks in advance

Hi, everything works but you should trasform data by SELECT CAST.

In my case it was:

@alexTaran Dictionary/composite types are not supported in Power BI: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/desktop-data-types

You *might* be able to do something by using Python/R to connect to the Postgres server and doing some fancy conversion stuff.

Is there any manuals how to do it by using R?
