Passing Parameter/Variable To Database and fetching the records to Power BI

can we create a dynamic value and based on the selected value how can we get the records from the DB. Is it possible in power BI.

let say I have a date field , on the selection of the date field I should get the records from the DB and display in the report or we can say passing a parameter or variable to database and then pulling the data in Power BI.

NOTE: Date value has been used in multiple place within the query.
Any solution would be appriciated.

Thankyou @Anonymous , but the date will be a database field which will be imported to powerbi on selection of the date i want the data to be fetched.
In the video you have shared the parameter date value has to pass. but i want the variable which should redirect to DB.
