My users have found something strange during UAT. The users will export a paginated report to Excel and the format for the cell is Month-Year(APR-2021). When they click in that cell and press enter the cell changes to 4/1/2021. We are using oracle and we are making this a Varchar, but for some reason it gets converted to date with excel if the click in the cell. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi @Anonymous ,
That is more of an Excel behaviour. It sees the data and then deciedes itself on what visual format it believes you will want.In Excel, it will be displayed in the form of date, and mmm-yyyy is also a kind of date format.
Best Regards,
Liang
