PBI connect to Dynamics 365 for Operations

How can I set up a connection from Power BI Desktop to a cloud Dynamics 365 for operations environment for custom reporting?

    I'm not familiar with Dynamicas 365, doesn't the connector in Power BI desktop work?

    If "operation enviroment" is someting specific that can't be imported by the connector, do you have to call the Dynamics 365 API for it?

      Hi Eric,

       

      Thanks for responding. The default connector works for Dynamics 365 (CRM), but returns a 500 server error for Dynamics 365 for Operations when I enter the API url.

       

      As an alternative, if the option is available, I would like to be able to connect directly to the SQL database.
