Hi,
my PostgreSQL runs in a Linux environment. I'd like to use PBI Embedded (app owns data) to connect to the DB. Now, I understand - in general - there are 2 options how to update / refresh the data so that users can enjoy the latest numbers in the reports / dashboards / etc:
1. The PBIX file needs to be updated to have the latest data. This can be done by using a data gateway (which is not available on Linux)
2. Using a live connection or direct query which PostgreSQL doesn't support. This would be done using a PBI Template (PBIT file), correct?
Is this correct?
Now, what are my options? Install PostgreSQL on a Windows machine and use the data gateway?
Thanks,
Sebastian
