Open report from internal application keeping the filters

Hello,

My client is using an internal application where they want to be able to open a Power BI report by clicking on a buton.

The scenario also includes to keep the filters they select in their application.

For example, they filter a "start date" and "end date" on their app and click a buton to open the Power BI report and the report has to be filtered by the dates they selected on their internal app.

Is this possible ?

Thank you!

Hi @DM_EU ,

Here I suggest you to try URL filters in the embed URL of the Power BI report. You need to pass the filter values from your application as parameters in the URL and the report will be filtered accordingly.

For reference:

Filter a report using query string parameters in the URL - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Rico Zhou
