Newbie Question: is Azure required to enable/use Power BI embedded in a customer-facing environment?

I've seen several resources (white papers, videos) which lead me to believe that Azure is required in order to embed Power BI into our customer-facing applications (i.e., users aren't in house on our own domain/servers) .

Do I see that correctly?

Hi @DKL1,

Yes, you need at least one Azure Active Directory tenant to host your embedding contents. Please refer to embed-sample-for-customers#prerequisites.

Maybe you also need a Power BI embedded capacity (on Azure) if you don't have premium. Please refer to power-bi/developer/embed-sample-for-customers#move-to-production.
