Hi, I've found the visual Heatmaps 1.1.10 and it's great. However there's a bug in it and the author seem to have orphaned the project. I've tried to open the pbiviz in 7-zip and taken a look at the .json but it's a mess.
Does anyone have any tips on how to get my hands on the sourcecode? or another vizual with the same end results i.e using WGS84 coordinates to illustrate a heatmap on a map.

Hi @Barbapappa,
It should be better to contact the visual author to get further support, you find the home page by clicking the 'support' which list on the business app -> detail + support page:
Business Apps – Microsoft AppSource
PowerBI - Heatmap Custom Visual (weiweicui.github.io)
If the above does not help, you can also consider using script-based visuals(R/Python) that allow you to coding custom scripts to invoke libraries/packages to manually plot and design the graph.
