Need help with Power BI

hi All,

I have a usecase which I want to handle in powerbi. I have data coming from sap and sharepoint. There are few reporting unit whose data doesn't feed in sap so we load the data from sharepoint its yearly data. In data flow we append the data from both sources. Flagging them as Sharepoint or SAP source.

For one of the reporting unit they have some month data in sap and also have the complete year data in sharepoint.

eg.  I have one reporting unit 111 for 2023 they have only 3 months data in sap. So we will load the complete data from sharepoint flat file. But I need to make sure that sap data for that reporting unit doesn't get loaded that is the 3 months data in sap else the data will get doubled for that 3 months. How I can handle this in better way in powerbi.

I am thinking of creating a file with reporting unit , year and source. So that user can specify the source sharepoint or sap.
how I can flag this data in dataflow or powerbi . Eg if for reporting unit 111 year 2023 user select source as sharepoint it should  consider share point data and flag them.

how i can handle this in powerbi . Any help will be highly appreciated.

You can choose to do a specific join that uses one set of data when available and the other when not.

Which one is the primary source - sharepoint or SAP?

both are the data sources since there are few reporting unit whose data are never feed in the SAP.
