Need Help with SSRS Migration to Power BI using Microsoft RdlMigration Tool

Hi,

I'm currently working for my organization and they asked me if I could find anyway to migrate files from SSRS to PowerBI.

By following with this document, I couldn't do manual migration because of unsupported data sources error.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/guidance/migrate-ssrs-reports-to-power-bi

I found this tool from Microsoft that might help with automated migration:

https://github.com/microsoft/RdlMigration

I tried to register client Id on Azure AD using this provided link: https://dev.powerbi.com/apps

When I sign in using my organization account, the website automatically redirected to different url, which doesn't allow me to follow the next step of instruction.

Have anyone experienced with this? Please let me if you know how to resolve this problem!

  • Yes, you can pin a SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) report to Power BI Dashboards. A few caveats need to be mentioned about this newly pinned chart, graph or map. First, credentials must be stored in the report in order for the object to refresh.
