Issues in Slicer with Filter turns off Select All
I have a Slicer which I filter on a text field. Once I start typing in the field, the Select All is turned off. I want to use the Select All with my filter.
Thanks.

ccfisher, Hi
In Power BI, when you start typing into the search box of a slicer to filter items, the slicer goes into a mode where it's filtering the list of items presented in the slicer itself, not the data in your report or dashboard. In this mode, the "Select All" option is not available because it wouldn't make sense to "select all" items based on a search filter that is designed to narrow down the list of items.
Essentially, using the search box in a slicer doesn't filter your data, it filters the items you see in the slicer. Once you've searched for and selected the items you want from the slicer, then it will apply that selection as a filter to your data.
This behavior is by design in Power BI, there isn't a built-in feature to change this. If you often find yourself needing to select all items after filtering in a slicer, a possible workaround could be to clear the slicer's search box after finding and selecting the desired items. Once you clear the search box, the "Select All" option will become available again.
If this post helps to find solution would be happy if you could mark my post as a solution and give it a thumbs up
