Is this error a show stopper? - "type instantiation is excessively deep and possibly infinite"

Whenever I run pbiviz start on this project folder, I get the following error:

"type instantiation is excessively deep and possibly infinite"

Is this fatal, because it reads like a warning? If so, is there a way to ignore or it or work around it? The code is from github (MS EnhancedScatter visual). Thanks.
