I want to compare kpi in line chart based on two dates

Hello,

I have 2 dates as slicers in power bi, "Date" and "Compare Date". For example my kpi is sales. My "date" is 12-02-2016 to 18-02-2016 and my "comapre date" is 05-02-2016 to 08-02-2016.

Now I want to compare these on top of each other on a line shart. Like both should start on same  point on x-axis. 12.02 sales should be compared to 05-02 sales, and so on. its okay if only "date" is shown on x-axis.

Is there any way to do this?

These time periods are of different length.  How would you compare that based on a line chart visual?

The length is not a concern, whatever the time length is choosen in "comapre date", it should be compared like in the example above, if i have only 4  dates in "compare date" it should be compared with first four dates of original date period selected. (no matter what should be the length)

That will be a confusing user experience.

yes but thats the requirement of client. so I am looking for solution here.

I hope someone else can help you further.
