I am trying to access google analytics through powerbi , but when i try to get default channel group

I am trying to access google analytics through powerbi , but when i try to get default channel groups it throws up an error. If i try to get other fields like date, city etc it is being pulled.

step by step: I am trying to load data in power bi desktop by connecting to GA4( Google ANalytics). I am getting the other fields to load and pul data except channel groups ( default channel groups). @PowerBI

Hi @Anonymous Seems like the 2.0 beta connector is still presenting some issues. As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party tool. I use it and I've never had any problem when pulling default channel group field. I've tried windsor.ai, supemetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with Windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the GA4 connector in the data sources list:

After that, just grant access to your GA4 account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your GA4 fields:

There just select the fields you need. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.

This is the error obtained when customer is trying to pull defalut channel groups fields. 

Has No errors pulling other fields as shown in pic below

This screenshot below is from my power bi when i pull default channel groups which doesnt have any tables. I created a test GA account to check if i can get Default channel groups.

If it's convenient, could you provide the error messages you get and share them for further troubleshooting so we can better help you

Check credentials and permissions to access GA4 data.

Ensure that the relationships between tables in the data model are set up correctly, incorrect or missing relationships can cause issues.

You can also choose to create custom channel groups, which allows you to define your own rule-based categories for Web traffic sources.
