Hello everyone
I am developing Power BI Custom Visual with "powerbi-visuals-api". I need to save some information by user account, so that when they log in on another machine or the machine they are using, the data will always exist until I delete it or I can change it.
Currently, I have tried the following methods but they have not met the requirements:
1. Using storageService and storageV2Service → Not working when changing machines because this is local storage based on session.
2. Calling external API to save data → Blocked by Content Security Policy (CSP) of Power BI Service.
3. Trying to enable IFrame Mode (sandboxing: "iframed") in pbiviz.json → But the API is still blocked when running on Power BI Online.
Question:
1️⃣Is there a way to save data by user account so that when they change devices, the data is still there?
2️⃣Is there a way to use Power BI to call external APIs?
Thank you everyone!

that sounds like a security issue. You as a developer should not have access to that information beyond what is stored locally.
