Hi team,
We have a web application built in Angular where users log in using their application credentials. Inside the app, we have a Report Center that lists all available Paginated Reports (hosted in Power BI / Fabric).
Each user has a UserID in the app, and our paginated reports also have a hidden parameter named UserID. Based on this value, the report filters and cascades data (for example, to a specific Enterprise).
We want to pass the UserID from Angular to the report automatically when a user clicks on a report in the Report Center.
Could someone please clarify:
What’s the best way to pass parameters (like UserID) from Angular to a paginated report during embedding?
Are there any report-level prerequisites (e.g., parameter naming, visibility, default values)?
Should we append parameters to the embedUrl (like &rp:UserID=1234) or is there a better API-supported approach?
Any example code or reference documentation would be really helpful.
Thanks in advance!
