My goal is to let user of my dashboard find what they are looking for in the "search" function of Slicer. The column I put in the Slicer is "job title", which has over 5000 rows. And there are a lot of long names and abbreviations. But the search function of Slicer is an exact matching. For example, if the input is "assistant attorney", then you will not get "asst attorney" or "assistant city attorney". So many of the times user won't find the job title they want.
I am new to power BI and really need some help for this problem. Actually I have write a function in R that can read user input and give the right results. But how to make this happen in power BI? It would be best if there is an exist custom visual can do this fuzzy search. Or if it's possible to make some changes to Slicer? Or if I can insert my R function into power BI? I have no idea...
Thanks for your help!
