How to get custom color theme

PIC1.JPG

I am trying to build this week MakeOverMonday dataset visualization in Power BI. However, would love to have rainbow flag color template on the figures and the bar chart. Is there someway to do that.

Hi @Anonymous,

With recent changes to Desktop, you can now edit your theme colours directly:

  1. Click on the view menu on the ribbon:

  2. Click on the dropdown on the themes bar and select Customize current theme:

  3. In the Name and colors pane, give your theme a name and add in the HTML colour codes for your palette by clicking on the dropdown ands typing in the code. For example I'm using the following (sourced from here):
    • Red - #ff0000
    • Orange - #ffa500
    • Yellow - #ffff00
    • Green - #008000
    • Blue - #0000ff
    • Indigo - #4b0082
    • Violet - #ee82ee

  4.  Your screen should now look something similar to this:

  5. Click on Apply and then you have the colours available to your report as the theme colours, e.g.:

Here's some further reading themes in Power BI which you might find useful.

Good luck!

Daniel
