How to Auto-update a Power BI App

Hi Folks,

does anyone know if it's possible to auto-update an app?

let's say if the dataset owner has modified some visuals/data in the source dataset. how the app (which has been built based on this dataset) would be Auto-Updated in order to get the new visuals/data?

HI @AliSafa,

If you mean the template app, it will update the installed apps if the source app changes and publish the new versions.

That would defeat the purpose of the current setup where the workspace acts as a kind of Test/Staging environment .  

If you still think this is worth the risk then you can raise an idea.

I must say that I find this quite annoying not having the option to have it synchronized. And the worst part is that if you, as a developer update the version in a workspace by an accident, but then you wanted to just adjust something on the version in the app, you can't even download it back from the app. So you are stuck with a different version...
