Github directory structure for Power BI reports and BIML dataset files

If anybody is using Github as version control for PowerBI reports and BIML dataset files , can they recommend what should be the directory structure for version control?

I'm not so familiar with GitHub features, I think the version control features can find some instead features on power bi side, so they are not the required part during the report designs.

@Anonymous Thanks ,I m not worried during report design but after report design which is when Developer has to save their work.  Are you saying Github should not be used at all for PowerBI version control ? If not then where should the PBIT files must be saved ?

Also from your response I m sorry its not clear that how should I store the BIMl files which are dataset files .
