I'm trying to automate refreshing my datasets for Power BI dashboards and I struggle with setting it all up.
I set up a test dataset that pulls data from a Sharepoint list to see if I'll be able to get it running. I also downloaded an on-premises data gateway and everything works fine on the Power BI desktop. I cannot, however, refresh my data much less schedule refreshing. My dataset options are greyed out even though the gateway is connected and has the required source added.
Does anybody has an idea what can be the root cause?
Hi @Anonymous ,
Whether your dataset has been taken over by another user has caused you to be unable to configure the gateway connection and scheduled refresh for the dataset.
Best regards,
Lionel Chen

Hi Lionel, thanks for your reply!
I don't think this is the case. I am the only person with permissions for this dataset and it's published in my workspace. I checked the owner and it's me. There's also no button to take over.
Could this be caused by some global settings set up by admins? I have a Power BI Pro license.
