It would be great if Power BI could add a More Than option to the relative date filter so that you could filter for dates that are More Than e.g. 1 day/week/year ago
The options currently are only In the last, In this and In the next
Hi @mhgrace,
I wanted to check if you had an opportunity to try the workaround in DAX or if your issue has been resolved. Could you please share an update?
Best Regards,
Karpurapu D.
Hi @mhgrace
Thank you for your feature suggestion. Adding a “More Than” option to the Relative Date filter would be helpful for cases where users need to filter data older than a specific date, like “More than 1 day ago” or “More than 1 year ago.” At present, Power BI’s relative date filter only includes “In the last,” “In this,” and “In the next” options, which can be limiting.
As @Greg_Deckler mentioned in the response, a current workaround is to use DAX measures or custom calculated columns to achieve similar results. The Complex Selector tool from the Microsoft Fabric Community can also help create more advanced filters with DAX. Still, having this feature built directly into the relative date filter would make it more accessible for all users. It is recommended to submit or upvote this idea on the Power BI Ideas Forum: https://ideas.powerbi.com

hi @v-karpurapud thanks for your reply - I have added it as an idea as you suggested so will see if anything comes of it and will make a work around in DAX in the meantime.
Hi @mhgrace
Thank you for the Update. . If you have found a solution with suggested workaround, please share it here, as it will help other community members facing similar issues. Looking forward to your response.
@mhgrace Interesting. Might submit that as an Idea. You can do that with measures. See the Complex Selector. The Complex Selector - Microsoft Fabric Community
Thanks for your reply @Greg_Deckler I've added it to the ideas bit now so will see what comes of it. I will investigate the complex selector in the meantime.
