Fabric with Virtual Network

I have an SFTP server in a Private Network. I wish to get data from the SFTP server into Microsoft Fabric using A pipeline. please share the steps and config settings I need to make / change?

I tried setting up the gateway, that didn't work. I was missing something.

Hi @trivediasit ,

Please make sure that the gateway is in the same machine with SFTP server or the SFTP server is accessible from the machine where the gateway is installed.
Then you need to have the necessary permissions to access the SFTP server and the files you intend to transfer.

You can refer to below offical blogs to learn how to install and configure gateway.

1. Download and install the gateway.
2.  Configure the gateway.

With the gateway in place, you can now configure the SFTP connector in your Microsoft Fabric pipeline:

1. In your Fabric pipeline, select the Copy Data activity. 
2. For the source, choose the SFTP option and provide the necessary connection details, including the server address, port, and authentication credentials.

Limitations

• Currently, this feature is available only for Fabric Dataflow Gen2, Power BI semantic models, Power Platform dataflows, and Power BI paginated reports. Power BI dataflows and datamarts are not supported

I wasn't sure if Copy Data Activity in a pipeline is supported. 

It'll be great to find a reference.
