Microsoft EmployeeThere's a list of supported types when exporting a paginated report, and a list of types when exporting a Power BI report. You can export a Power BI report to a type which is only supported for a paginated report.
I don't think there's an API for exporting a Power BI report to XLSX. Indeed ou can export a visual data to XLSX, but not the entire report AFAIK.
The confusion for me is that there is an "Export Data" option, which does produce a .xlsx file.
