Error when user saves a report inside PowerBI Embedded
A very, very specific report from one user is causing PowerBISqlOperationError and ExplorationContainer_FailedToSaveReportDefaultDetails error messages in the browser console. User was editing a report through PowerBI Embedded and saw a screen saying the contents below when he attempted to save his work:

Logged into PowerBI web using the same account as the application, but could not get support without add a new Fabric Subscription. I thought our company's plan could have the support, maybe it could be done using the owner's account, I don't know. Only have access to the application account.
Maybe support would not be necessary if error messages were more clear about what in the report is causing the error. Its content size, some invalid character, an so on.

Hi EdersonCassio,
The errors you’re encountering typically suggest that the report cannot be saved due to issues with its structure, embedded session state, or metadata. This can occur if unsupported visuals are present, the report is overly complex, or there are model limitations specific to embedded scenarios.
Since the problem seems limited to one report and user, please consider these troubleshooting steps:
- Save a simplified version of the report to identify if a particular visual, measure, or component is causing the issue.
- Check if custom visuals or DirectQuery sources are in use, as they may behave differently in embedded environments.
- Attempt to save the same report directly in the Power BI Service using a licensed workspace admin or owner account to see if the issue persists outside of the embedded setup.
For further guidance, please review the following resource:
Troubleshoot Power BI embedded analytics application
This document provides common solutions for embedded application errors and details on troubleshooting report loading, saving, and API-related issues.Additionally, please note that Microsoft support access requires an active Power BI Pro, Premium, or Fabric license assigned to a user with the appropriate permissions. If the application account does not have support entitlement, we recommend reaching out to Microsoft Support through a licensed admin or report owner’s account.

No, unfortunately. For now the customer gave up on that report. I am still waiting for somebody with the privileges to request the support (if he really intends to do). Of course, if they try again and the problem arises, I will ask him again for it.
