Does Access Database supports On-Premises gateway?
Hi Team,
I'm building a report for which the datasource is Access DB. While I publish the report in power Bi service I'm able to connect with personal gateway.
I just wanted to know does Access DB supports On-Permises Gateway? If Yes, what will be needed to configure the connection.
Kindly help me to find the solution.
Regards,
Haveesh

Hi Anonymous ,
On-Permises Gateway supports Access Database.
For reference: Power BI data sources
Yes1 means:
Supported with the ACE OLEDB provider, installed on the same machine as the gateway.
In addition to lbendlin's reply, you will need to configure data source credential in Manage Gateway in Power BI.
For reference:
Add or remove a gateway data source
Manage your data source - Import/scheduled refresh

Yes it does, but you really should not use Access as a data source. Too many things can go wrong there , including write access to the lock file, 2GB hard limit etc.
