Dashboard not filtering

Hi,

I have linked two tables where [ Table - Finance ] is summarizing the YTD each year of the values of the [ Table - MP Engine ]. However, in the dashboard when I added "MP Engine - Start Date" (from Table - MP Engine) as a filter, it didn't get reflected. However, when I tried swtching the filter with "Year Date" (from Table - Finance) it did...

Any great tips on this, please? I wanted "MP Engine - Start Date" to be the standard of the filter for the dashboard..
