Dashboard link

I am working on a tile on a dashboard. Initially I would like to be able to add a hyperlink a report which has been pinned to the dashboard to be able to navigate to a new page. However it seems like that is unable to be done in power BI which seems silly. So my work around is to add a new text tile and add a custom link to that. However, when I do this the link is only function in the power bi service. But when I go to my application where the dashboard is embedded in, the link does not work. It shows as clickable but nothing happens when clicking on that tile with the link. Does anyone have a solution for this? Am I missing something on the <PowerBIEmbed> react code to enable links? If this can be done without adding a seperate tile I would love to know that as well. Thank you.

Hi @Renzo ,

You can try this method to see if it can help you: Edit a dashboard tile - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

By default, selecting a tile usually takes you to the report where the tile was created or to Q&A (if the tile was created in Q&A). To link to a webpage, another dashboard or report (in the same workspace), an SSRS report, or other online content - add a custom link.

Besides, you can also try:

Add hyperlinks (URLs) to a table or matrix - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Create buttons in Power BI reports - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Jianbo,

Thank you for your response. The second and third option were greate alternatives to what I was looking for. The first solution was what I was trying to do but the dashboard 'Edit Details' page had the custom link greyd out and it would not let me set that link. But I was not aware of how to use the hyperlink and the button up until now. Thank you for your help!
