Custom visuals - Power BI breaking changes

Has anybody come across the changes in the PowerBI service since 2 weeks ago. I have custom visuals which make use of DataRoleHelper.getMeasureIndexOfRole which have now stopped working in the Power BI web.

 

I'm now using powerbi.data.DataRoleHelper.getMeasureIndexOfRole which works fine in web, but not Power BI desktop, where the old code still runs.

 

Whilst I can happily code around all this, I wondered if any of these changes are documented anywhere, and when the next Power BI desktop update is due - and whether this will be in?
