Custom Filter -> Breaking the Data Down Further

Hello,

I have a data set where I have a certain amount of applications that belong to a business leader, and I want to list the top 3 most populous applications PER leader. 

Simply put, this is not a simplistic filtering down where I can select "Top N" for the top 3 apps in the total data set (all leaders combined), I need the top 3 PER leader. Just quite not sure how to do it within the basic Filter Pane (next to visualizations).
