Creation of histogram
Hello everyone,
I’m trying to create a histogram in Power BI similar to the image below, where I have Upper Specification Limit (USL) and Lower Specification Limit (LSL) values that need to be shown as reference lines on the chart. I also want to display the frequency distribution of my data (like the blue bars in the image) and overlay the LSL and USL lines as vertical dashed lines.
Here’s my data setup:
- I have a column of measured values (numeric data) ppk/pp for the histogram.
- I also have columns for LSL and USL values.
the visula snapshot and dataset is provided below.
Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Thanks for the reply from lbendlin , please allow me to provide another insight:
Hi Heena_9980400 ,You might consider using a custom visual in Histogram by PQ Systems visual
Place [LSL] and [USL] into Value to display, the range of X-Axis will be displayed automatically according to your value, you can also change it manually.
This is the relevant link for Histogram by PQ Systems visual:
Histogram by PQ Systems (microsoft.com)
