Our use case: Currently, we have a process where an XML file is produced by an ETL tool (PDI). After the file is placed in a shared location, MS Word uses the file as an input to pull in various financial figures, etc., into essentially what amounts to a template tailored to specific deals. We'd like to remove our ETL tool, PDI, from the process and to essentially perform the same ETL in Power Query and then post the processed dataset to our Power BI service. Once the dataset is posted to the Power BI Service, we need to export it to XML so that Word can use it as an input.
I believe I can export to XML from a Paginated Report posted on the service but that same export option isn't available to Power BI reports (I'm talking Power BI vs. Report Builder).
Distilled problem: Export a dataset from Power BI service to XML for ingestion into MS Word
