Can I use Java Scrip Visuals downloaded from D3.js in Power BI Desktop?

Hi! I was wondering if I can use D3.js visuals in Power BI? They Download in a Java Script format, but Power BI Desktop will not accept them as custom visuals. I know almost nothing about Java Script. Can anyone help me to install these visuals?

We would recommend to use D3.js Visual or develop a new custom visual.

Thanks for your feedback! I visited the sites that you mentioned, and downloaded the file d3jsvisual.1.2.0.0.pbiviz. What do I do now? I looked at the custom vizuals site that you sent, but because I am new to all this I have no clue what it means. Please direct me how to navigate this website! Thanks again!

You have to import the visual

Thanks for your help! But I was actually wondering how I can access interactive charts like the Colapsible Force-Directed Graph shown in the examples on the D3js.org website.

There're two options to use Force-Directed Graph in Power BI:

• Use the exisitng Force-Directed Graph
• Develop a new custom visual by following documentation (to start it you should know JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS)

Thanks the force directed graph that you gave me the link to works but is not colapsable like the one on the D3js.org website.

It seems to implement this custom visual you would need to develop your own custom visual.
