Bar Chart vs Line Chart - Months abbreviation

For the love of God, why is there a month abreviations for the Line chart but NOT the bar chart....I noticed this in every single bar chart connected to the same data....I did all the tricks to make the months abbreviated for the bar chart but it gets messy.

Hi @HollyanneU2,

Perhaps you can try to change the axis field formatting strings to modify its displayed format:

Use custom format strings in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Docs

Hi @HollyanneU2,

please see this related post:

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/How-to-abbreviate-the-months-on-the-X-axis-of-a-bar-chart/m...

It doesn't answer the why question but can help you in making the graph look like you want it.

Believe it or not, I tried that link...not feasible....

Power BI need to fix that and allow developers a simpler way to do this like Tableau have. This is ridiculous from Microsoft!

Thank you for the link.
