Hi all,
I have created report that read all the vpax files in one folder and creates dataset documentation for each vpax (model) file. The only problem with this solution is that it requires users to use DAX Studio to export VPAX file for each new report and upload it to specific sharepoint folder. Is there any way to automatically export VPAX metrics? I haven't found this feature in PBI API, also DAX Studio doesn't seem to have automation features for that.
Best regards!
@stank I came here to ask the same question. Were you ever able to find a way to automate the vpax file creation for all your datasets? I'm hoping to process them based on the dataset on the service, not the local desktop PBIX file, as we have incremental refresh setup so our local file doesn't have the correct row count values. Thanks!
HI @stank,
Currently, I haven't found similar features on the power bi side. It seems expanded by the external tools that directly analyze from the power bi data model.
In my opinion, I'd like to suggest you submit an idea to integrated these types of features to power bi desktop and rest API.
Regards,
Xiaoxin Sheng
