Hi,
I am trying to use data from Aconex, Primavera P6 and JD Edwards all having Oracle as the underlying Database. We are planning to have all this data into Azure Analysis Services and then do data modelling in there by creating relationships between these 3 data sets and then report in Power BI.
Any tips on how to get data from Aconex, Primavera and JDE into Azure, what should I use in Azure (Analysis Services database or SQL Database or Data Warehouse or anything else) to accommodate and do data modelling in Azure (just to make you aware, there will be additional 10 or more Source Systems coming into Azure fairly soon) and then develop reports in Power BI.
I want to enable Information Consumers to consume data on PCs (Windows), iPads and mobile devices (both Android, iOS and Windows).
Or should I just connect all these 3 systems directly into Power BI Desktop (mind though that we don't have Premium Service at the moment) and do data modelling in Power BI and report from there. I am concerned that Power BI Desktop (currently I am on Power BI Pro License) might now handle humungous data from all these 3 data sources and more to come in the near future)!
Any tips or leads to information on the web is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your time.
Regards,
Bhoga
