Apply Perspective to Embedded Power BI Report
We are currently embedding Power BI reports in our website using the App Owns Data Model. We are also using RLS to limit the data in the tables by user. This is all working great for us.
With the August 2020 release we've begun to work with Perspectives that are being defined in the Tabular Editor. We would like to hide certain fields and measures based on the user. This is also working now. Currently we have seperate reports tied to the same dataset and are applying the Perspective to all pages in the report. We have 4 Perspectives. Using this approach we have 1 Dataset and 4 Reports (one for each perspective). Ideally we would like to apply the Perspective to the report when the report is opened in the Web App. That way we have 1 Dataset and 1 Report to maintain.
We've tried apply the perspective using a Bookmark but have not had success.
Is there another approach that we can use to apply the Perspective to the Report through the Web App?
Thanks!!!
