Thanks for your reply! I used a Gannt Chart before but I do not like how there is a row for each task. This just makes the visual super long when it is expanded out. 

 

Do you think it is possible to add padding to a clustered bar chart to make something like I want?

    HI Anonymous,

    I think it is hard to do these in a clustered bar chart. power bi visual includes the basic aggregation features to summary values based on group and categories.
    So if you do not add additional categories, these values will be aggregated instead of split to standalone data bars.
