Hi all,
I trying to use XMLA endpoint from power bi desktop.
I use power premium xmla endpoint from power bi desktop to import a specific power bi dataset.
The Premium workspace contain 3 datasets (2 excel files, SSAS on-premise with gateway).
When I connect with power bi desktop to the endpoint using SSAS connector i only can see model of 2 excel files and when I use Power BI Dataset connector I can see the 3 datasets.
Someone know why I can't see SSAS model.. ?

Hi @freginier
Unfortunately, XMLA endpoints don't support connection to Power BI datasets with a live connection to SSAS or AAS.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/admin/service-premium-connect-tools#unsupported-datasets
You would have to connect directly to the underlying SSAS dataset.
Having said that, I believe some client tools can "pass through" the connection from the Power BI dataset to SSAS (it's a while since I've tried that), but apparently not if you are importing from a Power BI Premium dataset in Power BI Desktop.
