I have created a word clould based on the key phrases extracted from the service desk data. They are quite large records, there are about 15000 rows of records. So, on the word cloud, I can only have "access", "software" etc. those key words listed.
On the word cloud, if I select "access" for example, it will lists all the keyphrases related to "access" in a table, say "intranet access", "boxi access". These information will give detail of what kind of "access" it is, see the list attached.
My question is, how can I create another world cloud based on user's selection of the word from the first word cloud? What's the best way to give more detailed information?
I am a newbie to PowerBI. Any suggestion will be appreciated, thanks.
HI, @lilian_zhao
You could get it just create another work cloud visual and disable work-breaking for it.
For example:
When I select "John" in right word cloud
And here is a detailed explanation about word cloud formatting for you refer to:

Here is pbix file, please try it.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I understand that you can turn off the word break to un-break the phrase, but it does not answer my question. Sorry, I didn't describe it very clear.
On my first word cloud, I have the key word like "access", "software" listed. When I select the "access" from the word cloud, the table on the second picture will list all the phrases linked with "access". The first word cloud is based on all the phrase extracted from the service desk data. I would like to create a second word cloud which is only based on the phrases linked with the word selected from the first word cloud. 1) pass the selection of word from the first word cloud, for instance "access", but not showing "access" in the second word cloud, this will let me know what kind of "access" problem is; 2) when user can select different word from the first word cloud, the second word cloud automatically refreshes.
Maybe I could use a list to display the top 100 key words , then when user select a different word from the list, it will refresh the word cloud, instead of having two word clouds? I don't know how to pass the word selection between two word clouds.
Sorry for the long and winded way to describe it. Many thanks for your help.
hi, @lilian_zhao
I'm a little confused by your description,
1) if the first word cloud visual and the second word cloud visual have the same field in Category.
2) for your "for instance "access", but not showing "access" in the second word cloud", what is your expected output?
Do you mean that "query, access" should show "query" on second visual?
If possible, could you do a simple pbix file and share it with expect output for us.
Best Regards,
Lin
hello,
Sorry for the confusion.
1. The first word cloud and second word cloud are not using the same field in category, although they should linked.
2. The second output should be based on filtered result from the word cloud.
In my example, I export the word cloud list based on the selection "access", then import the word list and present it as the second word cloud (using the stop word to exclude "access"). However, all these should be in dymanic and linked, I was just trying to show what I wanted to achieve.

Maybe the first word cloud is not the best way to present the data? using some ranking instead? Happy to hear from your advice. Many thanks!!
