when i try to convert Date to Year i get error msg

Can some one advise me :-

@Anonymous  Create A New Column and then use below Formula To create year .

Year = Year(Date) 

You will able to get the year from date .

Give me Kudos for correct Solution .

Edit :- I just try to manually type and the Date Appear and i click on Date , and it work fine now. Thank you.

@Anonymous , You need to create a new column for this.

Check in the table tools. Or click a column. You will get that option.
