Hi there,

I have tried to connect to MySQL with a TCP/IP host server, but it shows the error message "we couldn't authenticate with the credentials provided". The connection details work in MySQL Workbench, and the "Data source settngs" has set up as "Global permissions".  Doesn't Power BI support connecting to a TCP/IP host server?

Hi @Becks ,

Try to enter the network hostname only, the database name in the MySQL database connector to connect to MySQL.
