Can we create a waterfall chart like this in Power BI

Like by default we just get Increase/Decrease in waterfall chart in two colours, but here we need to show each bars in different color for each categories.

I have masked the X axis for data confidentialty.

Try this

Create a Custom Column for Colors:
In your data model, create a custom column that assigns a unique color to each category. You can use a DAX formula to define this column.

[Category] = "Category2", "#33FF57", // Green
[Category] = "Category3", "#3357FF", // Blue
// Add more categories and colors as needed
"#000000" // Default color (black)
)

Add the Custom Column to Your Waterfall Chart:
Add your data to the waterfall chart as usual.
Drag the CategoryColor column to the Legend field well of the waterfall chart.
Format the Waterfall Chart:
Go to the Format pane.
Under Data colors, set the colors for each category based on the CategoryColor column.
Adjust the Chart Settings:
Ensure that the Sentiment option is turned off in the Format pane. This will allow you to use the custom colors instead of the default increase/decrease colors.

there is no legend section in waterfall chart

which version of PBI are you using? you are getting unrealistic options.

Please try and test first before suggesting solutions

If you need to display each bar in a different color for each category, I suggest you try using the simple waterfall visual object, where you can set 'Format using Sentiments' to off and then customize the bar colors.
