hello,
i found this way to define a start and ending value for a waterfall chart:
Power BI & DAX Tutorial: Waterfall charts with beginning and end states in 5 minutes - YouTube
There is also a pbix file available.
But the final problem is that i can sort for category but not for the breakdown. i have 12 values for the breakdown and i want to sort it in a certain way. in the example it is luck that it works.
is that in this example possible?
In the same boat - was there ever a solution for this?
Hi @Pikachu-Power ,
It ought to be possible.
You need to create a custom sort column, and then use “sort by other column” button.

I think in this case it dont work. The breakdown table has already a sort criteria and it is sorted by that. I also create a custom sort column but no changes. It has no impact to the visual if you sort by other column.
