visual level filter removes after publishing the report

Hi,

I have applied a datetime filter on a visual in my report and it works perfectly in power bi desktop. However, this filter removes when i do publish the report to service. I have not used any bookmarks in the report.

I don't whether it is a bug or some mistake from my end, i had already given a hell of time to resolve this but all in vain.

Please suggest how to overcome this.

Thanks

I am facing the same issue. Specifically I set the filters on the right bar in Power BI Desktop and it works fine in desktop. I publish, and it still works fine. A day Later I get a call, and the users are seeing the information with FIlter set back to All. The Filters are locked, so they cannot be set. I have so far found two workarounds. 1) Delete the report and model and republish. This, though, destroys the links in visuals embedded in PowerPoint. 2) Unlock the filters and have the user set them.

Hi @jitpbi ,

I did some test but didn't meet such situation。

You may try rename the dataset and republish it to Service to check if the issue still exits.

Or you could check the Issues forum here:

@jitpbi ,

Good day,

Try resetting the report, there is an icon on the top right to reset to default.

Thanks & regards,
