union in report

Hi Friends,

We want to build a revenue report, which include sales order, interests, free text invoice items.

Those are from different tables, with quite different columns. How can we build a union to present data in report.

Many thanks!

@River

Yes, It is join. Because with Union the tables must have the same number of columns which usually not the case.

@River instead of spending time going back and forth why not you share sample data and expected output. Did you have a chance to read the post I shared earlier? If you help us we will able to help you.

@River

The shot answer is you can related the tables with a column (product or date, etc), once relationship is activated, you could put the columns in one visual. However, it is very much depended on your model so more information is required for a detailed solution.

Hi Paul,

When you link them through a column, isn't it a join not union?
