    Hi Anonymous ,

    Please check the following steps.

    1# Create a calendar table and a calculated calculated column "yearmonth" as slicer.

    CALENDAR = CALENDAR(MIN('Table'[date]),MAX('Table'[date]))

    yearmonth = FORMAT('CALENDAR'[Date],"YYYYMM")

    2# Create two measures one for current month visual, another for previous visual.

    Measure = IF(FORMAT(SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[date]),"YYYYMM")=SELECTEDVALUE('CALENDAR'[yearmonth]),1,0)

    Measure 2 = IF(format(EDATE(SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[date]),1),"YYYYMM")=SELECTEDVALUE('CALENDAR'[yearmonth]),1,0)

    3# Add measure to visaual level filter. Result would be shown as below.

    Best Regards,

    Jay

  • Anonymous , you can use time intelligence with date calendar . last MTD Sales

    MTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESMTD('Date'[Date]))
    last MTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESMTD(dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,MONTH)))
    last MTD (complete) Sales =  CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESMTD(ENDOFMONTH(dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,MONTH))))
    last year MTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESMTD(dateadd('Date'[Date],-12,MONTH)))
    last year MTD (complete) Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESMTD(ENDOFMONTH(dateadd('Date'[Date],-12,MONTH))))

    last QTR same Month (complete) Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESMTD(ENDOFMONTH(dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,Qtr))))

    MTD (Year End) Sales =  CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESMTD(ENDOFYEAR('Date'[Date])))
    MTD (Last Year End) Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESMTD(ENDOFYEAR(dateadd('Date'[Date],-12,MONTH),"8/31")))

    To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :
