unable to clear cache

MhUumIM

I'm unable to clear my cache... Have even tried uninstall and re-installing but cache persists. Where is the folder that Power BI uses for caching so I can manually clear this?

Version: 2.105.923.0 64-bit (May 2022)

Hi @siopow ,

During the installation of Power BI Desktop, you can change Power BI Desktop installation location. But please note that Mashup Engine stores Power BI caching files in your user appData local directory, which is not necessarily the drive where you installed PowerBI Desktop.

Can you please show me where? Because I cannot find it here: %localappdata%\Microsoft

Thank you very much for putting your question to the community.

We understand that you want to clear the cache of windows applications.

To clear the cache of applications you must access:

Control panel;
System;
Storage;
temporary
Click and choose all empty boxes minus transfers;

This operation will clear the app's temp as well as its cache.

Run at least twice to complete the process.

Another step in order to clear System Temporaries is:

Type "Disk Cleanup" in the Windows search bar, select all the empty boxes except "Downloads" and click OK.

Also run twice to effect the process.

We hope to have helped!

Issue persists.

Back to my original question, where is the folder that Power BI uses for caching so I can manually clear this?
