training material on Power BI reports

Hi,

I have created a Power BI report and now need to give a 1.5 hr training to 20-30 users about report usage. Has anyone done such trainings, maybe you can share some training materials or ideas?

I'm not a very eloquent person, hence look for some inspirations regarding the organization of the training session, layout, format of training slides.

  • Jeanxyz . 1.5 hours you can show

    10. Conclusion (5 mins):

      • Thank participants for attending.
      • Recap key points covered during the training.
      • Encourage participants to practice what they've learned and explore Power BI further.

    Training Materials:

    • Slides: Create a PowerPoint presentation with slides for each section of your  training outline. Keep slides concise and visually appealing, using screenshots and diagrams to illustrate key concepts.
    • Demo Data: Prepare sample data sets that participants can use to follow along during the training session.
    • Handouts: Provide handouts summarizing key concepts, shortcuts, and tips covered during the training.
    • Practice Exercises: Develop practice exercises or challenges to reinforce learning and encourage participants to explore Power BI on their own.

    Presentation Tips:

    • Engage Participants: Encourage active participation by asking questions, soliciting feedback, and incorporating interactive elements into your presentation.
    • Speak Clearly: Practice speaking slowly and clearly to ensure that participants can follow along and understand the material.
    • Use Examples: Use real-world examples and case studies to demonstrate how Power BI can be used in different contexts.
    • Demonstrate Confidence: Even if you're not the most eloquent speaker, demonstrate confidence in your knowledge of Power BI and your ability to teach others.

By following this structured approach and incorporating engaging presentation techniques, you can deliver an effective and informative training session for Power BI users. Good luck!
